About Us

Our work is important because it empowers persons with disabilities with skills, care, and opportunities to live with dignity, independence, and meaningful participation in the community.

Prashanti Foundation, based in Sirsi, Uttara Kannada, Karnataka, is a registered Trust dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to lead dignified and independent lives. Through its flagship project, Chetana, the organization provides therapeutic daycare, occupational training, and income-generation opportunities tailored to each person’s abilities. For over two decades, Chetana has fostered confidence and routine through skill development, social engagement, and meaningful work. The foundation also supports families through counseling and awareness, helping them overcome stigma and embrace inclusion. By promoting eco-friendly handmade products using banana fiber, handloom fabric, and sustainable materials, Chetana integrates livelihood with environmental responsibility.
